Family Juraphyllitidae

Entered in synonymy with Discophyllitidae SPAR, 1927, Juraphyllitidae probably come from these triassic family. It includes ammonites with very compressed shell whose ornamentation comes down to a weak ventral ribbing and/or fine growth lines. The lower Pliensbachian deposits are the richest in species, particularly the Ibex zone.
